Standalone Garages
Looking to build a standalone garage? Constructed with the quality and craftsmanship you have come to expect from Emerlin, we offer wood framed, single and double residential garages and garage doors.
Sizes range from 18-30 feet wide up to 100 feet long with wall heights from 8 to 12 feet with the following options available:
- Floor – Concrete floor and block foundations
- Walls – 2×6 wall construction and engineered trusses for strength
- Roof – Engineered Trusses 24 in. on center with 5/8″ OSB sheathing, tar paper, ridge vent, and 3 tab or architectural asphalt shingles
- Vehicle Doors – Residential style garage or roll up doors including oversized RV garage doors
- Man Door – Matching Duratemp or Pressure Treated T1-11 doors. For all other sidings, we use non-pre-hung primed fiberglass doors
- Windows – Vertical slider windows with screens and exterior window trim
- Trim / Finish – Duratemp, Vinyl, Wood, or Hardie Plank
- Wind Resistance – Engineer certified to withstand 115 MPH winds and up to 130 MPH winds if your area requires it
We’ll also prep your site, including yard regrading, to ensure the concrete slab is on the ground and level.
How it Works
Our process is simple. It starts with a consult and ends with your dream custom-built structure. Here’s how it works:
1. Design
You tell us about your dream for the space, and we’ll help make it a reality, giving you recommendations around size, structure, and scope along with an estimate of cost and timeline.
2. Build
Within a few weeks, we’ll complete a quality control review and guide you through the permitting process. When it’s time to build, your dedicated, licensed full-time crew will complete the work on site, on time, and on budget, as well as handle all inspections.
3. Expand
Now that you have a custom-built space that’s an extension of your home, you can also have peace of mind knowing you’re protected. In addition to relying on our 10-year structural warranty, you can reach out to us directly for support or additional services.

Our sheds are Architectural Engineer Certified in Virginia and North Carolina, are built with the best materials, and come with a no-questions-asked 10-Year Warranty you can count on but likely won’t need.
